Happy 15 Years to the Disney Dreamers Academy

This past weekend marked the 15th year of the Disney Dreamers Academy inspiring a new generation of high school students across the United States to dream big and take action on pursuing their career goals.

10 years ago, I was one of those students. I am incredibly grateful for this program that I credit to giving me my start in my career journey and continuing to inspire me today. 5 years ago, I was invited back to the program as a guest speaker and mentor for a new group of students where my passion for the program was re-ignited and I was re-inspired by the students, speakers, and my fellow alumni.

Thank you to everyone who makes this life-changing program happen, congratulations to the newest class of #DisneyDreamers, and #Happy15thAnniversary to the #DisneyDreamersAcademy! What is the Disney Dreamers Academy? 15 years ago, The Walt Disney Company along with Steve Harvey & Essence Magazine created this immersive 4-day program hosted at Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL to inspire a select-group of 100 high school students throughout the U.S. to take action on pursuing their dream careers through motivational speaker sessions, industry expert mentorships, workshops, and of course, some good old-fashioned #DisneyMagic.
