Traveling. It’s good for the spirit.
My high school and college years were filled with travel. After college, I worried that any type of travel would take the backseat as my career would be taking the driver’s seat.
BUT my recent road trip to Joshua Tree with a group of friends to celebrate one of my bestie's birthdays reminded me that travel and adventure is still very much possible even with a career --- AND that it is important to take the time to get outta town when you can.
It was a perfect weekend trip and a perfect reminder of what traveling (even if it's only a few hours away from the familiar) can do for your spirit. Here are a few pictures from this little weekend trip. I hope that you always find time to travel whether that means hopping on a plane to another country or taking 4 1/2 hour drive to the cute little town of Joshua Tree, California.
We Airbnb’d a cute little artist loft in the middle of nowheresville. It kinda looked like a shack on the outside when driving up to it but it ended being ADORABLE. Good job, Salary Alex.
(Not pictured) We also had the best Thai food in town. So good that none of us needed to take out our phones to capture it. So good that they ran out food just in time for us to get our order in. So good that we had to go back the next day before we left town.
We, of course, had to stop for a quick photoshoot in a trailer park. #classy
From the the small hike through Joshua Tree. The trees reminded us of a drawing from a Dr. Seuss book.
Necessary band pic. Just call us 29 Palms. (;
Till Next Time Cali.
